Ben is on the Real Estate Board of New York’s Executive Committee, Board of Governors, and serves on the Boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City and Hudson River Park Friends. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration (Finance) from Northeastern University and lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.

He is Chairman of CBRE Econometric Advisers a specialist real estate forecasting unit. He has numerous academic and trade press publications to his credit including a highly regarded book called ‘Real Estate and Globalisation’ (Wiley Blackwell, Oxford), which deals with the impact on real estate markets of the rise of emerging markets such as China and Brazil.
