Biography
Fernando was the Deputy Economic Attaché of Brazil in Washington, D.C., and has served as Managing Director for Brazil's Ministry of Economy. As Deputy Municipal Secretary for PPPs and Concessions for the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil, he was responsible for the municipality's PPPs program. He also worked as a Manager at Ernst & Young's Government and Infrastructure Division and as a Senior Consultant for KPMG's Government and Public Sector Team. Currently works as a Senior Officer at the Souther Brazil Development Bank (BRDE).

Fernando holds a Master's Degree in International Business and Policy from Georgetown University. A Master's in Public Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM). He holds MBAs in Strategic Marketing (FGV), Business Management (FDC), and in PPP Projects (FESPSP)
BRDE was founded on June 15, 1961 by the States of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná, with the aim of making the South of Brazil prosper. Since then, BRDE has been a partner that supports and monitors the development of projects to increase the competitiveness of enterprises of all sizes in the region.
