Biography
Senior Associate at Starz Real Estate involved in all aspects of loan origination, underwriting and execution. Prior to Starz, Simon worked as a junior investment manager in the real estate department of MEAG, the global asset manager of the Munich Re Group, where he was involved in the selection and execution of indirect investments with a strong focus on REITs. During his tenure at MEAG, Simon contributed to new investments with a volume of more than €300 MM. Fluent in German and English, Simon holds a master’s degree in Finance from University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Economics from University of Hamburg.
Founded in 2018 in collaboration with Sightway Capital, L.P., a Two Sigma company, Starz Real Estate is a real estate investment manager predominantly focusing on mid-market European CRE debt across strategies (whole loans, mezzanine, listed debt & special situations) and geographies (Western Europe & UK). The firm has approx. €500m of AUM, invested approx. €1bn of capital since inception and is currently investing through two vehicles: Zenith (Core+) and Orion (opportunistic / Special sits).
