Biography

Joel Sanchez ha promovido la creación de productos financieros que impulsen la construcción verde en el país durante 10 años. Actualmente, es el líder de Construcción Sostenible para México de la
Corporación Financiera Internacional (IFC), miembro del Grupo Banco Mundial. Algunas de sus
responsabilidades son liderar la certificación EDGE para México, trabajar con el equipo de Instituciones Financieras para impulsar el financiamiento climático y proveer asistencia técnica a gobiernos locales interesados en otorgar incentivos a la construcción verde. Anteriormente, estuvo a cargo del programa Hipoteca Verde de Infonavit, donde impulsó mejores estándares en materia de eficiencia energética en el sector residencial.
